Iconic SA bands to unite and perform as ‘One Vision’

Two celebrated SA bands, Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels and The Rockets, will be performing as ‘One Vision’ in Cape Town next month.

Two of South Africa’s most iconic bands, Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels and The Rockets, will be coming together as one band at the Grand Arena in Cape Town on Saturday 5 November. The two bands will perform under “One Vision” and are set to serenade the audience with hits like Gimme A BreakI Love to Truck and Surrender

DR VICTOR & THE RASTA REBELS AND THE ROCKETS

Victor Khojane, better known to his fans as Dr Victor, has worked with some of Mzansi’s top talents including Chicco Twala and Yvonne Chaka Chaka. 

He has travelled the world with his band, The Rasta Rebels, performing hits like If You Wanna Be Happy and When Somebody Loves You Back. Together, they have performed in countries like France and the United Kingdom. 

The Rockets are also one of the most popular bands in the country. Made up of Jerry Watt, Manuel Losper, Timothy Baartnes, Vinaschco Williams and Carlos Griffin, they have won several awards including the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Ghoema Awards.

Over the years, they have been supporting acts for international stars like Alicia Keys, Luther Vandross, The O’Jays and many more. 

‘ONE VISION’

Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels and The Rockets will come together as “One Vision” on Saturday 5 November. The bands will combine their best songs for an unforgettable performance. 

The two bands will only perform for one night at the Grand Arena in Cape Town. Both bands have said this historic collaboration is “iconic”. 

“Only three weeks left until our historic collaboration with Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels at GrandWest on 5 November,” wrote The Rockets on Facebook.
