Guinness World Records: Longest career as a radio presenter/DJ

The longest career as a radio presenter/DJ (female) is 71 years and 357 days and was achieved by Mary McCoy (USA), as verified in Conroe, Texas, United States on 13 April 2022.

Mary started out on a talent show at radio station KMCO on April 21, 1951 where she was asked to sing in a 15 minute program. She mentioned she wanted her own record show and approximately 4 months later she had the pleasure of becoming a Radio Presenter/DJ.

Mary began her career at the age of 12, working 5 days a week. Now at the age of 84 Mary does a 2-hour Country Classic show 6 days a week and has no plans on stopping. “Radio has been my life for as long as I can remember” she states.
