Are you ready for the glitz, glam and luxury of the new luxe hotel in Khayelitsha? The Spade boutique hotel and spa is finally here and is ready to explore.
Cape Town’s Khayelitsha is the home of the first township luxury hotel, The Spade Hotel Boutique and Spa. The facility was launched at glitzy an official event last week.
As The South African reported in November, a Cape Town couple, Annette and Bulelani ‘Ace’ Skaap were to open Mzansi’s first luxury hotel in the township of Khayelitsha on Sunday 5 December.
The historic moment has now transcended from concept to reality.
The husband, Ace, needs no introduction in the township. He enjoys proven a track record in the business and entertainment lane, thanks to his ventures of Kwa-Ace Lounge, Kwa Ace Kitchen and Kwa-Ace Eparkin which have all become popular tourist attractions for local and international travellers.
“We are pleased to introduce our new business expansion with the development of our first luxury hotel, The Spade Boutique Hotel, and Spa,” Annette said via Business Insider.
“With this hotel, we wish to accommodate our guests, local and international, to experience the other side of Cape Town and more beyond the city. We wish for our guests to leave with an incredible South African experience that will stay with them forever.”
“This project has been in the making since 2018 but was derailed by the global pandemic, Covid-19, which has affected the global and business community,” Annette added.
