We’ve all been or know of someone who has been a victim of those unfortunate luggage mishaps that sometimes happen at airports. Whether it’s lost bags, damaged suitcases or stolen items, it’s really not an ideal situation to be in.
Now, a video that has gone viral on TikTok has the perfect solution for travellers who worry about their luggage.

According to Daily Mail, Robin Taylor, a seasoned traveller, advises all travellers to always take a photograph or video of their luggage before a flight.
By doing so, the footage from the video can be used as evidence if you need to make an insurance claim over damaged or missing luggage. It can also assist the airport’s lost and found team to help track down your missing bags.

Taylor revealed why it was so important in the comment section, saying that taking a video “saves a lot of trouble down the road” if your bags get damaged or disappear, as it can be successfully used as evidence of “damage that wasn’t there before it went into the care of the airline”.

The viral video has since had over 2.5 million views, over 140 000 likes and almost 400 comments, with TikTok users loving the idea.
