The National Lottery operator Ithuba said it is searching for the two lucky people who struck lucky in the PowerBall and PowerBall PLUS draws on Tuesday, 16 November. A combined R150 million was won by the pair who purchased their winning tickets in KwaZulu-Natal and Limpopo, respectively.
The winner of the PowerBall jackpot won R100 million from a ticket that was purchased for just R7,50 in Margate, KZN.
The winner of the PB PLUS draw won R50 million from a R45 wager. They purchased the ticket in Groblersdal, Limpopo and opted to use the quick pick method.
“We would like to urge all players to check their tickets to see if they are one of the two multimillionaires, and get in touch with Ithuba and visit one of our eight offices in the country as soon as possible to claim their winnings,” said Charmaine Mabuza, the CEO of Ithuba.
“Once again, we are changing the lives of ordinary people in SA through life-changing jackpots and our exciting game portfolio. Ithuba takes winners from ordinary to being extraordinary. We look forward to meeting our two winners, congratulations,” added the CEO.
South African lottery tickets must be claimed within 365 days of the draw.
The winning numbers were:
PB – 8, 9, 36, 42, 50 and PB: 4
PB PLUS – 29, 32, 33, 45, 47 and PB: 15
