According to Travel News, the flight services will depart Cape Town at 23:15 and arrive in Amsterdam at 10:45 the next day. Flights will then depart Amsterdam at 10:10 and arrive in Cape Town at 21:25. These KLM flights will run everyday excluding Mondays.

SA to Amsterdam: What are the entry requirements

It’s now also possible for fully vaccinated South Africans to enter the Netherlands with no quarantine restrictions or test requirements.

This comes after South Africa was classified as a ‘high-risk country or area’ for the Netherlands. This is a marked improvement from the previous classification of ‘high-risk country or area where there is not a virus variant of concern’. These entry regulations mean that vaccinated South African visitors are not required to isolate for 10 days upon arrival.

The current entry regulations are as follows:

  • Vaccinated travellers are now able to enter the Netherlands with proof of vaccination, subject to visa requirements. They must also complete a ‘Vaccine Declaration COVID-19 form’.
  • Passengers are advised to do a self-test on arrival and again after day five.
  • The EU entry ban still applies for unvaccinated travellers who may only enter the Netherlands if they fall under one of the exemption categories, subject to visa requirements. A ‘Health Declaration’ is also still required.

Travellers are also advised to check entry requirements before arriving in the Netherlands.
