Hot and happening: Exciting events in Johannesburg this weekend

Looking for something exciting to do this weekend? Here are some really cool events happening in Johannesburg from 17 to 19 March 2023.

Silent House silent club experience

What: Cape Town’s Silent Events is coming to Johannesburg to bring you Silent House, a silent disco experience like no other. Expect lots of top DJ’s, three decks and awesome beats that you can tune into on your very own pair of headphones (supplied by the event). Some of the music that you can look forward to includes: Vocal House, Deep House, Afro Tech, HipHop , Funk, and Disco. Tickets cost R250 per person and can be booked here.

When: Saturday, 18 March 2023, 17:00 to 20:00

Where: Creaky Tree, 47 Boeing W Rd, Bedfordview, Germiston.

Paint & Sip at The Playground, Johannesburg

What: Come let your inner artist at The Playground Braamfontein at a fun Paint & Sip event this weekend. You will follow along as a talented artist guides you step-by-step through painting the session’s featured artwork. You will also receive a complimentary cocktail or coffee at arrival. Choose between painting on canvas, a tote bag or a ceramic plate. Tickets cost R200 per person and can be bought here.

When: Saturday, 18 March 2023 from 10:30

Where: The Playgound Market Braamfontein, 73 Juta St, Braamfontein, Johannesburg.

Winnie the Pooh kids show

What: The National Children’s Theatre will be putting on a fun live theatre production of a Winnie the Pooh show. Parents can bring their kids and their ground covers, low chairs, blankets, and picnic basket for the show. Tickets are R140 for adults, R120 for kids over 2 and free for kids under 2. Book here.

When: Runs from Sunday, 12 March to 10 April 2023

Where: National Children’s Theatre – Open air theatre, 3 Junction Ave, Parktown, Johannesburg.
