Now that’s extravagant! The WAGS of the English football team have hired a $1 billion cruise ship to stay on during the FIFA World Cup.

With the FIFA World Cup just around the corner, players and their families are getting ready to head to Qatar.

And many football fans are also finalising their travel arrangements which include five-star hotels, and the best entertainment money can buy.

The World Cup takes place from 20 November to 18 December in various stadiums around Qatar.

ENGLISH WAGS GET THE VIP TREATMENT

Whilst their hubbies are gearing up for the month-long tournament, the wives and girlfriends of the English team will have the best seat in the house. And with a bottom-less budget – that includes hiring a $1 billion luxury liner to home them for the duration of the World Cup.

According to Daily Star, the English WAGS have splashed out on a lavish cruise ship  – the MSC World Europa – described as a “floating palace”. The publication reports that the ship has “six swimming pools, 14 ocean-view jacuzzies, salons, boutiques, restaurants, bars, and even a dodgem car rink”

The $1 billion cruise liner also includes a soccer pitch, a basketball court plenty of activities for the kids.

The liner will be based off-shore permitting the WAGS to bypass Qatar’s strict drinking laws, even during the World Cup.

A source told The Sun: “Due to the fact the boat is offshore, guests can have a drink and enjoy themselves without having to worry about falling foul of Qatar’s strict rules.

“In many of the bars and clubs around Qatar, you can’t even cheer let alone order a beer. And they certainly don’t like football songs.

“And many hotels aren’t even allowed sunbathing areas. But by staying on the boat guests just relax and have a great time.

“If England does go all the way it’s likely to become like a carnival on board.”

DANISH WAGS TO SIT FIFA WORLD CUP OUT

Meanwhile, the wives and girlfriends of the Danish national football team have been banned from attending the FIFA World Cup.

And the move has nothing to do with “distracting” the players from their scheduled matches. According to authorities, the ban was undertaken to minimise the support of the host country.

Qatar has faced backlash from the world for its human rights violations, which include the criminal prosecution of homosexual residents.

A spokesman for Denmark’s FA (DBU) told the Copenhagen Daily: “The DBU and the DBU’s board of directors have decided to minimise travel to Qatar in connection with the World Cup.

“We don’t want to contribute to making a profit for Qatar. Therefore, we have slowed down our travel activities as much as possible.
