Cyclone Freddy, which has now surpassed all records for the longest-lived tropical cyclone in recorded history, has been active for 37 days.
This cyclone has also surpassed Hurricane Ioke’s record of 82 for the highest accumulated cyclone energy (ACE) of any tropical cyclone.
Meteo-France’s latest trajectory estimate predicts that Freddy will once again make another U-turn.
