What’s on? Exciting events in Cape Town this weekend

Looking for something exciting to do this weekend? Here are some really cool events happening in Cape Town from 6 to 8 January 2022.

Craft Rum and Gin Tasting

What: Come taste some of the best Pot Still and flavoured rums in South Africa at Innocent Spirits Distillery in Cape Town. You will go behind the scenes and embark on a rum distillery tour, while sipping your way through a tasting of four hand-crafted rums and two elegant gins. Tickets cost R100 per person and can be booked here.

When: Saturday and Sunday, 6 and 7 January 2023

Where: Innocent Spirits Distillery, 27 7th Ave, Maitland, Cape Town.

Sleeping Beauty at the Masque Theatre

What: We all know the story of Aurora and Maleficent, but now you can see a live adaptation at the Sleeping Beauty show at the Masque Theatre this weekend. The show will be full of foot-stomping numbers from Mango Groove’s Special Star to the hugely popular The Greatest Show from The Greatest Showman. Tickets cost R100 per person and can be booked here.

When: The show runs from Thursday, 5 January 2023 to Sunday, 15 January 2023

Where: Masque Theatre, 37 Main Rd, Muizenberg, Cape Town.

Gilli Apter in Cape Town

What: Join internationally touring Netflix comedian, Gilli Apter, for a hilarious evening of live stand up comedy in Cape Town this weekend. Gilli has performed all over the world with her confident and unique style and she will be performing in the Mother City for the rest of January, so don’t miss your chance to catch her! Tickets cost R180 per person and can be booked here.

When: Sunday, 8 January 2023, from 20:30 to 22:30
