What’s on? Exciting events in Cape Town this weekend

Looking for something exciting to do this weekend? Here are some really cool events happening in Cape Town from 27 to 29 January 2023.

Dinner in the Dark

What: Not sure what Dark dining entails? Dinner in the Dark is a sensorial experience, trusting your senses to take you on adventure through food. Guided by a chef, you will be blindfolded, while you let your taste and smell take over to elevate your meal to a whole new level. Complete with a carefully curated secret 3 course meal to tease your tastebuds. Be sure to bring along a scarf or something similar to blindfold yourself. Tickets are R220 per person and can be booked here.

When: Saturday, 28 January 2023, from 19:00 to 21:30

Where: Neighbourgood East City, 60 Corporation St, Cape Town City Centre, Cape Town.

Concerts in the Park with Matthew Mole

What: Spend your Sunday at De Waal Park with live music and safe and serene surroundings. This weekend, you can catch Matthew Mole, Will Linley & Dukes of Note for an epic show. Tickers cost R99 per person and can be purchased here.

When: Sunday, 29 January 2023 from 10:00 to 18:00

Where: De Waal Park, ENTRANCE corner of Kamp St and Upper Orange St, 29 M96, Oranjezicht, Cape Town.

Maynardville Open-Air Festival, Cape Town

What: Cape Town’s Maynardville Open-Air Festival is back this year with an awesome food market and offers a full season of Music, Opera, Ballet and Shakespeare under the stars. The festival runs from 19 January to 5 March. Book tickets here.

When: Runs from 19 January to 5 March 2023

Where: Maynardville Open-Air Theatre, Maynardville Park, Piers Rd, Wynberg, Cape Town.
