What’s on? Exciting events in Cape Town this weekend

Looking for something exciting to do this weekend? Here are some really cool events happening in Cape Town from 13 to 15 January 2023.

Friday the 13th at Evol night club, Cape Town

What: Come celebrate the very first Friday, the 13th of 2023 at an epic party at Evol night club. Expect a haunted building, ghosts and ghouls, horror scenes and scary spaces, dressing up and getting down as well as some cool DJ’s to keep you entertained all night long. Tickets cost R50 for early-birds, R80 general admission and R100 at the door. Book tickets here.

When: Friday, 13 January 2023, from 21:00 onwards

Sleeping Beauty at the Masque Theatre

What: We all know the story of Aurora and Maleficent, but now you can see a live adaptation at the Sleeping Beauty show at the Masque Theatre this weekend. The show will be full of foot-stomping numbers from Mango Groove’s Special Star to the hugely popular The Greatest Show from The Greatest Showman. Tickets cost R100 per person and can be booked here.

When: The show runs from Thursday, 5 January 2023 to Sunday, 15 January 2023

Where: Masque Theatre, 37 Main Rd, Muizenberg, Cape Town.

Mango Groove at Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts

What: Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts needs no introduction! This weekend, you can catch fabulous SA band Mango Groove as they get ready to rock your Sunday sunset. Expect to hear blasts from the past like ‘Special Star’, ‘Moments Away’, and ‘Dance Sum More’. Tickets cost R260 per person and can be booked here.

When: Sunday, 15 January 2023, from 17:30

Where: Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, Rhodes Drive, Newlands, Cape Town.
