Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, and cousins Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson, also known as the Backstreet Boys, landed in Cape Town at the weekend for the South African leg of their DNA world tour.
And as fans are gearing up to see the Backstreet Boys live in Pretoria and Cape Town, the boys are exploring and sharing glimpses of their day on social media.
Nick Carter took to Instagram to share snaps of his time in Cape Town.
The first order of business was shark cage diving. Nick shared a video explaining that he’s always wanted to see a great white shark up close – it’s been on his bucket list.
“So we Jumped in the water with great white sharks here in South Africa while on tour. We just want to thank @marinedynamics for helping us write off another bucket list wish at the same time as teaching us how to cherish and protect these great creatures that live in our beautiful oceans,” he captioned a video explaining the experience.
He even shared a video of the experience.
Nick also visited Signal Hill and made a short video to take fans along on his journey.

Howie Dorough also shared a few images and managed to attend a rugby match at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town between the DHL Stormers and Connacht, visit the St. Mary’s cathedral, and do some wine tasting in Stellenbosch.
The boys arrived in sunny SA from Bahrain, and they got to watch the Stormers beat Irish team Connacht 43–25, securing a spot in the United Rugby Championship (URC) final for the second consecutive year, News24 reports.
AJ McLean made sure to spend some time on the golf course.
“When I’m in South Africa, you know I gots to play golf. Also made a new friend,” he captioned a gallery of images on the course.
The boyband kicked off the first of their four shows in Cape Town yesterday. The next show is tonight, 17 May, in the Grand Arena at GrandWest in Cape Town before they head to Pretoria for two shows at the SunBet Arena Time Square on 20 and 21 May.
